my  fcr blue is the first dog i have had in 26 year that has chewed the pastic and sponge in the back of the car,yesterday she when to training a distant of 8 miles there for hour back again in that time chewed the car,is there any thing i can get to spay or rub on the places she chewing.none of my other dogs have done this,she been in the car with other dogs and done it then too,

I would get a basketville muzzle.  Most pet shops sell them, they are a hard plastic mesh but the dog can still pant through them.  You need something like this to break the habit.

A crate would probably be the best thing.

Get a crate; that way you protect the car, yourself and the dog.

If you can't afford a crate or don't want to use a muzzle, try putting a very tiny drop of chilli sauce on your dogs favourite chewing area's. It'll make him sneeze at first but he'll soon learn to stay away from that area.
Warning - it does stain though.
