Had a wonderful day at Discover Dogs on Saturday even though the springers were asleep & there were no dachshunds. I saw someone walking around with what looked like a long haired bassett hound. Can anyone tell me what it was as I didn't know they came with long hair - or was it some breed I don't know about?

Vendeen. (With an acute accent above the first E of the pair, I think.) Pronounced Von-day-on.

There were lots there on Saturday, both the petits and the grands.

No it wasn't any of the vendeens (a gbgv is high on my shopping list)- it looked exactly like a bassett but with long hair. Just wondered if anyone knew if they do come with long hair like the weimeraner.
