Has anyone got an up to date affix book....and if so....could you please have a quick look for me & see if there are any starting with or similar to Tamar and Target  :)  Trying to think of T's for registering pups but think these two may cause me a problem!

I can't see Target  in the 2002 book, but Targyt is, so I presume the owner of that would object to Target, even if the Kennel Club allowed it.
Tamar isn't listed either although there are lots beginning with Tamar eg, Tamarod, Tamarye,Tamarsh.

Thanks for looking julie. i wouldnt imagine the owner of the affix "TARGYT" is ever likely to read a breed record supplement of my breed & see  ****** (my affix)TARGET :) so i will take a chance. ;)

I really must get myself an up todate copy of the affix book!!

I ordered a new copy last week and got it yesterday and guess what  ------------ It's the 2002 version and no help to me whatsoever in trying to sort out a new affix.  Wanted Chadders anyway it would work spelling wise but they turned it down so I ordered a directory to check and see if we could find something sounding the same but spelt differently ------------ not much use when it's 2 yrs old eh?

I know that the Targyt affix is a breeder in bull terriers. Its an anagram of their  name.  susan :-)

Linda with p&p it was just over £13, I ordered it on the kc website and it only took a couple of days to arrive.

If you went to CRUFTS you could have the names you chose checked by them on the database while you wait ;)  makes it a lot easier to choose a name when you know whether it is ok straight away.  Trouble is Crufts is so many months away :(

wish I could wait til crufts but a) my pups need registering in next 4 weeks and b) I can never get away from my bench at Crufts because trying to hang onto too many hounds!! :)
