For many of you who have read about and maybe do not know about DNA Testing, I thought I would post some information.
DNA profiling your dogs can be done through the Kennel Club, at a very reasonable cost of £15 per dog, to request a DNA Profiling Kit goto this link below
http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/health_issues/profreq_form.pdf
(sorry do not know how to do links)
Once you receive your kit, you take a swab from inside youd dogs mouth, let it stand for 5 mins place it back into the tube provided, place it in an envelope and send it back to the health dept of the Kennel Club. Once the test has been completed, you will receeive a DNA Certificate for your dog.
Very easy, very simple and very reasonable in cost. Hopefully once more publicity is provided about this new initiation more people will have their dogs DNA profiled.
More information about DNA profiling can be found by going to the Kennel Club UK page and type in DNA profiling in the search bar.. it will bring up all the Press releases and information about what DNA profiling will be able to do do in the future.
Hope this is helpful to some readers who were interested in DNA but did not know where to go...

Oh that is a shame, I had 10 dogs done although it did seem to take a long while, I got the certificates back and are all clear as a bell... what a shame for you. I would definatley ring up the dept and speak to them..they were very helpful when I called them to ask what the delay for my certificates.
I know the Scheme is rather new so hopefully they will iron out any problems they may have in the interim before it puts anybody off!
Sorry just had a look at my certificates.. and maybe mine are different than yours? they have the KC mubmer listed and not the breed... unless you are talking about the DNA kit? which I have to admit it has been a while ago and I cannot remember what it actually said on there?
