Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Dog Recommended Car/Van (reliability)?

What do folk here drive with view to carrying dogs?

I am looking for something car or van that is primarily reliable.  Not too large (prefer smaller vehicles).  That is also easy to maintain and keep clean and tidy, (hence thinking van, in particular the BERLINGO).

Anyone drive a BERLINGO or recommend anything else to consider?

GRATEFUL THANKS

ive just got a renault van & it is fantastic,i love it!

its a Treg & the old style, the dogs are in one big caged off bit on the top & theres room for storage underneath.

ive got friends with berlingos & they love them

I have a Peugeot Combi Partner (the Berlingo with a different badge) 2.0 HDi; it is excellent, fantastic mileage.  Mine is not the van model, but the people carrier.  Love it to bits; excellent dog carrier.

I had both Toyota Lite-Ace and Hi-Ace and both were brilliant.  Never broke down in all the years I had them, always started first time except when they needed new batteries.

YES ! YES ! YES! :D  Berlingo's are great ! I can fit three/four great hairy Belgians in crates and all their gear with no problems and they are so economical to drive - I would heartily reccommend one to any dog owner !!!

Not a small car but ultra reliable I have a 5 door Subaru Impreza with fitted cages in the middle & luggage space. I have had a Great Dane in the middle part & a GSD & BC in the luggage but it's not reallty suitable to large dogs but I've had my late BC's in he back & 4 cavaliers in the middle
