have active family with 3 children and keen to find HEALTHY kc reg flat coat puppy (dog or bitch) any time next few months
prefer working line but NOT essential
have field with house to help with exercise

Try contacting Shirley Johnson who is the litter secretary of the flatcoated retriever society - 01638 718231 (I hope it's OK to give this number - it is on the society website).  She will be able to give you details of any suitable litters from reputable breeders and I'm sure will also help you decide whether a flatcoat is the right choice for you.  There are many far more experienced flatcoat owners than me on this board but I think they would give you the same information.  Good luck - flatcoats are truly wonderful dogs (spoken with no bias at all!!)

Perfectly OK to give the number out Alex!!!  It makes far more sense than telling people to try and navigate the breed site.  Her number is in all the breed club publications anyway!
