if you want to give puppy packs why not buy some food and whatever else you would like to put in the packs :)

You shouldn't be looking for ANY breeder packs, you should be giving the new owners what you have been feeding the pups, or you're going to end up with a lot of puppies with bad tummies!

Puppy packs are designed to help the new owner continue what you have started, so should contain the same food you feed the pups.  Why not make up your own using the same food you feed the pups and add to that whatever you think would be helpful, don't forget to add information on  feeding, how many meals/how much/etc.

A basic puppy pack can include a number of things. I have listed below a few of the thngs I have received in puppy packs.

A piece of blanket which smells of mum
A pedigree
A diet sheet explaining how much to give and when
A training sheet advising on housetraining and basic obedience including the phone number of a nearby club
Insurance cover
A bag of food, 3kg size
A list of stockists of the food I have been given
A chew toy
A collar
A letter from the breeders vet saying she had examined the puppy and it was in perfect health. This letter also suggested the puppy should be registered with my own vet for a check up as soon as possible.
Sale contract explaining that I had bought the puppy having had it explained about any restrictions placed on the puppy, health issues which might arise and requesting that if at any time in the dogs life he was in need of rehoming for whatever reason I'd give him back to the breeder.
And of course we had the KC registration paper.

For your puppy pack as your pups are not registered I@d pick the best of these ideas and include it in your puppy pack.

I will tell you what is a really nice touch a picture of the litter together when they were are about 5 weeks + up till before the first one goes you know a "group photo" and on the back an identifictaion thing telling them which one is which and which one is there's. Just an idea to add to the pack.

I have just updated the paperowk side of our puppy packs, so that instead of seperate feeding sheets, care details, photos etc, we now have a booklet.  It starts off with pics of mum & dad, then a few of the litter together at various stages.  Then the usual cared details, feeding details, medical details etc.  Next the contract ( of cours,e I do an extra copy of this page for us to keep) then the veterinary info, in nice big type!  giving dates and brands of wormer, flea treatments, vaccination, microship bar code.  This can be convenietnly shown to the new vet, and finally a list of everything in the puppy pack (Booklet, vaccination card, insurance cert, puppy food, meassuring cup, piece of bedding, pot of yoghurt, bottle of water, pedigree, KC reg if applicable)  I hope that the booklet format will make it easier for the pups new family to keep all the important info together, reather than lots of bits and pieces.

bye
