I want to know what all kinds of sledding dogs are there?
- By husky [gb] Date 08.11.04 09:03 UTC
Most dogs can pull a sled if large enough, there is a famous racing team of Standard Poodles in Alaska! However, the recognised sled dog breeds are Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute, Samoyed, Greenland dog and Canadian Eskimo Dog.

Oh okay, I thought that other breeds could only take part in recreational classes - I'm here to be educated :)

NO, some organisations allow you to run any breed or xbreed as long as it is registered with them in an Open class, lots of people run hounds, pointers etc. Personally I'll stick to Sibes...........!

I'll stand corrected then :) Can't say I've seen them myself - and I'll stick to Mallies :D
