I have just got back from my dads and someone has their christmas tree up and the man of the house is putting outside lights up.  I love christmas but think its a little early to be putting your tree up JMO though.  When does everyone else put their tree up?  I do mine first weekend in december.

We put ours up the weekend before Christmas and it comes down on twelfth night :)

Same as Mel (though depending on when Christmas falls it could be two weekends before) - we also take it down twelve nights later :)

Iv,e always put mine up on the 5th December (that was my dads birthday) when he was alive he always came to stay with us on that day and the boys use to have him help to decorate the tree.    But one of my neigbours always puts hers up in the middle of November.....I think that she just likes to be the first.   Perhaps I will put mine up next week just to annoy her :D

Yup, they're starting to go up round here too :( !

All those houses which try to outdo Oxford Street are starting now.... by the beginning of December the night sky will once again be obliterated by the glare from countless Chrimbo reindeer galloping across rooftops!!!

If only they would wait, just until say two weeks before Christmas and then switch on, it would then seem more like Christmas.

Here, Christmas tree goes up Dec 12, comes down 12th night (Jan 5th) - that way we can enjoy the Christmas season for just the season.

Don't know why we'e grumbling though - haven't seen any Easter Eggs in the shops - yet :D !

Wow, its far too early yet!
If we put ours up now i wonder how many times our youngest dog 'beau' would pull it down or try and play with it.. :P

Think i'll be waiting for at least mid december at the earliest.

Hmmmm, I put mine up on the 5th of January.  Then I can take them all down again on the 6th January (Twelth night).  That way Christmas trees are a lot cheaper and you dont have those pine-needles all over the floor for weeks on end.

Who said Christmas has to be an expensive time.
:cool   :D

P.S. You don't have to buy any presents, because the tree isnt up to put them under.

My neighbours have their tree up at the moment as they have their son and grandchildren coming for an early Xmas dinner this weekend as their son has to leave to serve in Iraq as he is in the Army.  They wanted to celebrate Christmas before he goes so the family don't miss out.

I'm going to put mine up on new years day 2005 just to be the first :D

Ok we normally do it when we have a free weekend in december and comes down soon after new year when we have time!

I went on a Bah Humbug theme last year and didnt put a tree up. But I did make a large display of twigs (frosted) pine cones, and all sorts of things natural, if it worked it stayed and if it didnt it was replaced. The wind at this time of year drops all these wondeful things in my garden. Bah Humbugs coming again this year.

God, that poor tree isn't going to stand a chance with Tamino in the house. :D
