We have a boxer who is 13 months old, and would really like him to be a stud dog, he has an excellent temprament and is a very attractive looking dog. I would be interested to find out how you go about breeding him, if anyone can help.

you don't! :D

Do you really want his temperment to change for the worse, for him to be more likly to escape if he just slightly senses a bitch in season?  do you want him to "have todo's" with any other male dog?  This is what happends to some stud dogs, is it worth risking everything?

You will also need to get eye tests, hip scores, heart scores and I think boxers also do elbows?  not sure on that one. which all need to be done and must be good to breed from him.

Also is he a success in the show ring? agliltiy? obedience? Is he KC registerd and true to breed type comfermation wise? does he also have a good pedigree behind him with good lines?

Another thing, do you want the responsibilty for all the puppies he sires if needbe (it's joint resposibilty between bitch owner and dog owner) and if something is wrong with a puppy due to breeding lines will you be willing to maybe compensate?
