At the risk of sounding flippant, just wondering whether the Americans have overshot Fallujah and are raining their missiles on Essex?????
Since 4pm this afternoon, we have been subject to a continual bombardment......gunsdogs Purdey Gipsy & Freya have pulled down the shutters and are refusing to go out....Aussies girls have dug themselves in and will only come out waving a white flag, Aussie boys are manning the ramparts wearing steel helmets - and as for the language of the cats - well - the dockers in Tilbury have never blushed so much!!!!
Hopefully, now it's 11.15 pm gone, things will start to calm down - until Dilwali - or Christmas - or New Year - or Chinese New Year....
Pass the asprins/recue remedy/earplugs, please!!

Anna's hunting the garden up for Pheasants Margot!! I must say though, and maybe it's just around here, but they do not sound quite as loud as other recent years thank goodness.

Well just to tell you Margot with the Yanks being Yanks if they are aiming for Essex they are getting better because they are actually hitting Birmingham instead ;) The fireworks if you could call them that have been really really loud tonight.
Nice to see the Americans are improving their aim though isn't it. :)
Karen
OOps the americans have missed essex bypassed Birmingham and landed full throttle in Lancashire with their booms and bangs, well it certainly seems like it tonight.
