why does my puppy cry/whine in the night everytime she goes to the toilet.  she has the run of the kitchen in the day but is locked in a wire crate in the night which is in the kitchen as well and she is happy to sleep and toilet during the day?   when I clean it up she will go back to sleep until the next time.  any suggestions on how to sleep through the night

Has the vet checked her out? How old is she? How often do you take her out (not just let her out) into the garden?

Do I take it that you don't take your puppy out during the night? She is in a locked in a crate and crys when she has wetted/messed? I think that if I have read this right that the answer is obvious!

If I've read it wrong then I appologise.

if your pup is being forced to soil her own bed at night of course she is going to cry.Your pup will learn to sleep through the night when she is happy and physically capable of holding her bladder for that length of time.
My other concern is that you say she has the run of the kitchen during the day....I assume this means she is not allowed any social interaction with family members unless they are in the kitchen..hardly fair do you think? I cannot understand why anyone would want a dog and then keep it locked away from them.
