This is my first time owning a dog of my own. I have an 8 month old Shepherd Mix named Amy. She had kennel cough when I first adopted her from the shelter 6 months ago, and we got that taken care of with antibiotics.
She has been spending a lot of time outside lately and one day she was out and it was damp out, and since then she's been having a rattling sound to her breathing. She shows no other signs of trouble though, her nose is cold and wet like it should be, she hasn't lost any of her puppy enthusiasm, and so I just wanted to know what other symptoms she might have. She's going to vet tomorrow, but I just want to make sure I haven't let it go on too long that she could die. I love this dog very much, like a baby, and I would be so terribly upset if I did something and allowed her to get sick and ...(shudders to think) die. If she does have pnemonia what should I anticipate as far as treatment and etc? I have pet insurance so atleast I don't have to be too concerned about cost. But, what could happen to her? Thank you, sorry so long, I'm just so worried!!
