What is the piont of RCCs.
I know if the CC winner gets disqualified the RCC winner gets CC.
But realy what do they mean.
Its time the Kennel club rewarded dogs for winning RCCs.
My opinion.

They mean that that the KC can award the CC should the CC winner be disqualified If no RCC then no other dog could be awarded the CC

The wording is the same as that of the CC ie That the dog is worthy of the title of Champion

I presume you are suggesting that X number of RCCs count as a CC & towards a dog getting made up

Abit like Champions not competing for CC's

All helps making up a dog easier, not really in favour of that, but I don't approve of people amassing 10's of CC's either

Maybe as with the international CACIB's if the CC winner is already a Champion then the RCC winner should get a CC.  With the FCI If the winner of the CACIB is already an International Champion the Res gets the award, this happened to me at the World show when I got the RCACIB, several months (nearly a year) later when awards were confirmed (and people think Our KC slow :D ) I was sent a CACIB, and took correspondence for them to explain to me why!

This would also allow those with Champions who are going for records, or just want to continue showing a good dog to do so without hindering another dogs chances.  This would be unlike shoiwing the Champions seperately which I don't like, as it is good in our system that a Champion needs to take on all comers in the Open class.  Also theoretically a judge would not know which were the Champions as they would if there waws a Champions class as there is in most other countries, where almost inevitably a judge may be tempted to give BOB to one of them.

Anotyher way would be to make several RCCs count towards a CC, but I think the dog should still win at least one actual CC.  I know of several worthy dogs on Two CCs with lots of RCCs that don't get their Champion titile.  After all the judge when giveing the RCC is basically stating that the dog is of such High quality as to be worthy of the title Champion, were it not for the presence of just one better.

They mean the judge thinks the dog is worthy of becomming champion but there was a better one on the day!  It is also, as you said, incase the CC winner gets disqulified, the RCC winner will gain the CC.

The RCC also gives the dog their stud book number (if they don't already have it).
