When she was young she used to constantly watch a cartoon film of a little boy who took out the spine of a dragon and played with it. The dragon's father then threatened to take out the boy's spine, and the cartoon went on to show what happened next. BUT we can't remember the name of the film ;) Can you help?

No, we sat and watched that last night. :D We have that video. ;) The film was animated. I think it was a Chinese boy and a chinese dragon story. I can vaguely remember the film, but my daighter used to rent it from the video shop every week :( Used to drive me mad. I should have bought it for her then. ;)

how old is your daughter and when would she have seen this film? I've asked all the kids I have and my teenager and grown up son but they dont recall it.

It was in the early to mid 80's.

Could it be Flight of Dragons.  Havent seen it myself, but we hunted for this particular one about 2 years ago for my step daughter who is 22, who was desperate for it (had watched it as a young girl herself).  We found a copy of it on video from amazon eventually.
