Hi everyone. My name is Aman and I'm a proud owner of BUDDY a minature pincher/german shepard. He is one year old and does the puppy stuff. He loves toys...and he loves to chew, so to stop him from chewing other things we buy him toys...baby toys i found worked better as in the stuffed animals. But he usually go throughs them real fast. He won't stop until he's done ripping it apart. But he hates to share toys. My sister-in-laws have a dog and when we give her a toy he wants that toy and we have tried to stop him and tell him no...he starts to growl while holding the toy. And we call him sometimes he won't listen he'll just continue to do his own thing. When we leave the house we can't leave him off leash b/c we know he'll chew something up so we tie him.
I'm hoping someone out there can help me out and tell me what to do. Thank you

A min pin/GSD? Is that possible??

Where are you based? I think you need more help than can be given on a message board - but suffice to say he should NOT be tied when left because he could strangle himself. How long is he left for? Whats his routine?

Hi Aman! What size is Buddy? If he is (as I can't imagine the a Min Pin/GSD cross) a Dobermann/GSD cross, then he will be a large dog, who, at a year old, is still not yet adult, which is why he still does 'the puppy stuff'! It's not a good idea to give him baby toys to chew, because dogs have been known to choke to death on the stuffing. Far better to give him toys designed for dogs. A Kong (google for info) is designed especially for this, and can be stuffed with foody titbits, which will keep him occupied for far longer, and is much safer. Also, please don't leave him tied up - he could easily come to harm. Why not invest in a good-sized crate? He'll be safe and so will your house!
