Hi . If I was looking for a bullmastiff pup and I was only a beginner, I would write to a lot of breeders. I would tell them I am interested in a show quality puppy . I would be looking for the kennel that cannot home a lot of their stock and are willing to let the good ones go. I would then take myself to as many shows as I could and sit and watch the breed I chose. go up to owners and talk to them about the dog , ask them questions . I urge you not to rush into things, I can tell you if you are only starting out and you rush in not knowing a good puppy from a pet ,then you are on a road to disaster. By that I mean , if you are not happy with your dog and he is not winning , will you want another or will you be the type to sell on as a pet . or just keep him. I suggest you buy a good book on bullmastiffs . by Lynn.Pratt or Bill Wylie .their books are an excellent way to learn about bullmastiffs. best wishes Mari
