There are a lot of pedigree dogs in rescues - they can't all have been cheap :(

Unfortunately a high price does not guarantee a caring genuine owner.  In my area, before the advent of the dog warden, the streets were full of strays - and most of them were pedigree   These ranged from red setters and st bernards to caveliers and labradors, in fact any breed you care to mention - all bought as status symbols and kicked out every day to roam :(     Even today I regularly see an Italian Spinone roaming - his owner claims he can't keep the dog in, but I never see the owner looking for him

My main problem with Labradoodles is that they are marketed as a breed, which they aren't - yet  but the price charged would buy you a pedigree pup from a top show breeder.  And there are breeds already that would fit the description of non shedding.

Logic tells you that this would be the case tobermory but IME it is not so.  Even comparitive rare breeds that cost over £1k have been found in rescue less than one year old...................
