Has anyone ever encountered this in their dogs and if so how was it treated?
Im just loking to double check my vets cause of treatment.

Yes, one of my dogs is mildly affected. It's quite easily treated with a daily soloxine tablet.

No personal experience of it but have read a bit about it.Dr Jean Dodds is a reknowned expert on this & other immune diseases. The link below is to her site, people from all over the world send their dogs blood to her lab for testing & advice. What breed of dog is it thats been diagnosed with it?

its where the white blood cells attack the thyroid or para thyroid gland and try to kill it off .causing it to stop producing hormons and chemicals or to produce not enough .
