I was just wondering which sex is generally more loving, loyal ???

I know each dog is an individual, but generally speaking! :D

I have danes of both sexes - I have to say I find Phoebe is more focused on us but Willis is more loyal and loving... Phoebe takes all the fuss she can get but doesn't seem to give much back.

this really varies!!  I have had 5 irish red and white setters, now I generly speeking, girls are more affectionate (on sofa for cuddles 24/7) and boys more "when I want fuss I will come and get it!"  But we did have one girly who was very much "when I want fuss you may fuss me but don't expect anything back!"

With the irsh setters I know I always find the girlys more affectionate, jumping up for cuddles, I also find bitches much more gentle, especially round children.  Boys tend to be abit more "bullish"

I looked after 35 dogs the majority Irish Setters.
Now the Show/breeder liked her Dogs more than Bitches(said dogs were more showy and you didnt have to worry about seasons etc!!!!! :D), so consequently had more dogs.
But Derek was so loyal, we had to lock him in a bedroom when she went out,And take him out for a wee on the lead as he would do a runner!!!!!And his grandson(I think thats the relation to him) is the same. Captain would decide he didnt like being in the run anymore and wanted to be with people and scale a 6' fence to come to the house to be with us. Mac, well he was just mad Mac but you could take him out and he wouldnt go far!!!
Molly, was mated while I was there one year and spent the whole time with me. Including sleeping beside me. Dolly her mum was a house dog(gun dog not show) and was loyal as could be. And thats only the ones that stick in my mind :D could name the rest but wouldnt want to bore you!!!
To me with the Irish Setters, the boys tended to be more loyal, but that was probably because there were more Dogs than Bitches. And more dogs lived in the house.
On a general note. as long as you give them the love they deserve I think any dog will be loyal. I have a dog and a bitch, and neither will go to far away from me. Nope thats wrong, neither will let me out of the room unless they are under my feet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know that doesnt help at all, but I think it is personal preference as to which you like more, ie from my experience, Males are bigger than females but both are as nutty as each other :D :D :D
