Not my breed so I can not say for sure (I am sure someone in the breed will be along soon) but I would say that with all health screening the definative advise should be obtained from the appropriate breed club that way you need never worry about conflicting views.

It is a recognised fact that SBTs can suffer from eye problems therefore responsible breeders will only breed from bitches/dogs that are eye tested clear. I would suggest you visit the breed councils homepage for more info, and steer clear of people who say testing is not necessary or that their dogs have no problems - how do they know if they haven't been tested? A pup from eye-tested parents may not cost you any more than a pup that isn't but you have the assurance that the parents show no signs of genetic eye problems. Good luck!

Yes the advice given is good advice. SBTs should be tested for eye problems before being bred from and you are always best to get a pup from a good breeder who does these tests on their breeding dogs :-)
