I have a bloodhound dog, my brother despises this dog and at every opportunity torments him and i feel, hurts him.
He always throws things at him, and takes the **** out of him, this is really upsetting me, Frank (dog) doesnt seem to mind, he loves my brother, i dont know what to do, my brother told me to get rid of the dog or he would never talk to me again, i dont understand why he hates him so much, but im getting so upset as i dont like to see my dog getting hurt or teased, but my brother wont stay away , when i tell him not to come round.
i dont know why im posting i just needed to talk

Have you been able to talk to someone else about this at all? Possibly your parents? You sound like you are not very old so maybe talking to your parents might be the best way to tackle this?

if your brother is asking you to choose? well choose the dog!!!!
no contest really is there?

dogs are so forgiving & trusting, that is why they can be abused like this.

your brother sounds like a bully and you need to stand up to him. Its your house and your dog..tell him to behave or not come round. By the sounds of it he is trying to control you...don't let it start or it will only get worse.
Have to agree...Frank sounds lovely!

Can you not put your dog in another room when he visits?  I am sorry to sound harsh but I would NEVER allow a visitor, family or not to treat ANY animal of mine like that.  Your dogs sounds incredibly tolerant and to keep him that way, keep your brother away from him!

I would make sure you put your dog away before you let your brother into your home.
This can not go on as he will eventually make your dog lose trust in men.
I honestly dont see why you allow him away with this I would knock his head off if he did that to my dog.
You have to get help to sort this out if you cant handle it yourself
