My dog is 1 year old and i would love to show her, but is it too late to start. Ihave tried to make her stand but she just ignores me and sits down. Please help.

No it is not too late to start.

Does your dogs breeder show, if so then that is the best place to start, they will be able to assess your dog and show you the correct way to show her.  It will be different according to the breed.  You may also have a breed who's coat needs to be presented correctly.

You can also find a ringcraft class near you by phoning the Kennel Club or go to a show and watch and talk to people in your breed.

Be warned though, once you start you can't stop :D

It is not too late, and you will enjoy the social aspect of dog ownership through showing. It is quite addictive when you start.
