My 5 month old puppy met his mum yesterday for the first time since we had him at 8 weeks. The whole time they were together, he kept trying to mount her. The owner did say afterwards that shed just finished her season. Hes never tried humping ANYTHING before, no other dogs, legs, toys or anything. She kept telling him off but he still kept having a go, he even got his tackle out at one point! The whole thing has really disturbed me! Should i be concerned, or ashamed?

Sounds very normal to me :) He's just discovering what being male is all about :D
