Hi all

I have been invited to a Halloween party for the first time in about 5 years, the new people who moved in up the road from me recently have decided it would be a great idea to get to know the neighbours. I have been struggling for the past few days for costume ideas and so far the only thing I can come up with apart from the obvious witchy type thigs is a Buxom Tavern Wench :D  might as well make good use of any assets I might have. OH thinks it is a fine idea, (typical man) lol do any of you have any other ideas I could think about?

Oh I wish I could do a Halloween party but Im away for the very day
Well I was going to go as ''Alexander'' from ''A clock work orange'' (I had the hat and EVERYTHING!!! :D) For that you need a black hat, large fake eyelash to go on bottom of eye, and lots of mascara to make your fake eyelash look extra long when you draw massive pointy spikes under your eye!! If this sounds confusing just look at the cover ;) That film is very good :D
You could always go for the whole ''evil fairy tale character'' vibe :D Alice from Alice and wonderland is a fun one to do as you can do everything really crazy!
There is also the whole ''zombie'' idea but i always think thats a bit boring and for people who cant think of anything better to do :D.
Go for something different and un traditional (always funner :D) Plus Halloween is a night where everythings CRAZY!!! (funest night of the year I think :D) Hope you have a great time and let me know what you decide!!! Look for inspiration from horror films :D

Or......you could go as a giant pumpkin or a black cat!! ... Or even a broomstick ( god knows how to make the costume) for something a little different!
Have lots of fun though , whatever you go as!!!!!

Hiya

Wouldn't take too much dressing up to become a giant pumpkin lol, maybe some orange face paints and some orange clothes lol, I already have the bulk that I need elsewhere :D
OH has bought an inflatable crocodile and is doing his Steve Irwin bit lol. I think I'll stick with my Buxom Tavern Wench/Milk maid :)  Doesn't take too much thinking about and not difficult to make. Hmm my OH says no one will be looking at my costume, they will all be looking at my voluptious charms :D  I'm sure after a few drinks I'll not care if I'm a buxom wench or a giant pumpkin, mind u I should maybe behave and not give the neighbours a bad impression of me, especially as her hubby is a landscape gardener and is very good at building fences (I need a new one lol) :P  Hope you have a fantastic party Smudgley and have lots of people dressed up as I think it helps as an Ice-breaker.

Bring on the alcohol in copious quantities and I'll have a lovely night.

lol tracey

I had thought of this too, and would definitely do it if I had an outside kennel and run for the dogs. My house isn't that big and I'd be terrified that the dogs escaped and terrorized the kids friends. There are so many kids these days are not used to dogs of any kind, let alone an ear cleaning Gordie who can knock an adult flat :D My youngest daughter who will be 8 in a couple of weeks has remarkable control over said Gordie tho lol.
