You will need to do A LOT more research before even considering buying a dog of this breed..or any breed. All breeds of dogs are have different charateristics...not just looks. They all have different needs and requirements .

It seems you may be looking for a foxhound or a beagle.
Before even thinking of looking for a breeder it would be wise to at least identify the breed you want. Currently it appears that you are selecting the dog on how it looks....there are so many other things to consider. The hound temperament is not for the faint hearted, they are notoriously difficult to train, run off a lot etc. Personally i love hounds, and have 2 afghans, but I would strongly recommend you do a lot more research into various breeds before making your choice. The kennel club website have a great section on breeds. this will help you identify your dog, and also has a lot of advice as to the suitability of certain breeds for certain circumstances. They discuss the exercise and training needs, and suitability for children or being left alone, barkiness etc. Here is the link to the KC.....i think you have a lot of research to do!  http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/

I would also suggest you contact some REPUTABLE breeders and go and meet some of your chosen breed....talk to someone with years of experience with the breed and find out all the good and bad points.
Like pinklillies ,I own hounds and they are not easy..you have some serious work to do before you should be buying a puppy....good luck

I'd agree with the others - hounds are not an easy group of dogs, and just because you like the looks of a certain breed, doesn't mean it will fit in with, or be happy with, your lifestyle :(
