Hi Nicky,
I have a beagle (still an incredibly naughty 2 year old), Willow (aka Dialynne Merrydown). You'll find us under the surname Langman. Be nice to meet up and put a face to a name.

We are there tomorrow, really must go and write my 'show list', hate forgetting things, especially my mam, very useful at shows!!!
Good luck to everyone who's going
Emily xx

We are going on Sunday with the baby Lhasa Apso, it is her first champ show her breeder will be there and her brother has already got himself qualified for Crufts, but I know Mo will let us down she is more for playying with her leader than showing off.. HELP

LOLOLOLOLbring her to the cavalier dog ring & my boys will teach her every trick in the book on how NOT to behave

simple word of advice...don't get yourself worked up and worried that she wil misbehave, she only will...If she does start playing with her lead then a firm but gentle "no" or "leave" will do and carry on. She is a puppy so won't be expected to behave 100% of the time. Just don't get annoyed or angery with her! I have a girl who will fidgit like made, for my dad and brother who are easily stressed she will do it with them forever in the ring...I have managed now to calmly say "stand" and move her feet to where they should be and she is fine, moment you get stressed with her she has won...and my girl knows it!!!!!

Im there with casey on sunday---its our last show of the year, cant do buba cos ive won under the judge before and decided not to go to the club show--so its our last one. !!!!So ive taken the plunge and had her mated :) we should know in a fortnight if shes taken, it will be her 1st litter and shes 4 this month., --- timing was spot on show wise,

I should be there today (should be well up the A1 by now) but we got down the road with the car sounding funny and feeling uncomforatble thinking maybe the suspension had gone....but insted we had a flat tyre!!!!! So we came back home! now have 4 dogs all looking as if to say...huh what ya doing???
Last time I come home from school and trim and bath our boy who hadn't been trimmed for acouple of months!!!!!
So now insted I have to do what I should be doing and go into school!!!!

Hi Archer,
Thanks a lot - we're really pleased with Willow. How did you get on? At least the rain held off and it wasn't a bad day in the end. I'm sorry that we didn't get to meet.

Hi Sarah
you must be very pleased...and so you should be.
We had a mixed day.Pup got 2nd.His breeders very pleased with him but he still needs to lose some weight and strengthen up...but then he is only a baby and he looks it.
Asa (my 3 year old) placed 3rd in limit. He showed well for my daughter but was rather on his toes.
Kasper was thrown out but strange enough he is the one I am most pleased with. He was shown by my daughter for the first time since he embarrassed her at Crufts.Shes refused to handle him since then and hes shown like a sack of spuds for me! I have even discussed taking him out of the ring for 6-12 months since I felt I was wasting my money.
She took him in and he showed like a real star.He was alert and responsive and everyone I spoke to was suprised he didn't place well.So I had a good day in most ways.Entered a stakes class for the first time but decided not to stay cos everyone else was feeling the cold..

Nikki,
You had a pretty good day and I'm pleased for your daughter. But, I have to ask, what happened at Crufts?

Ohhhh..my 2 year old elkie who always showed brilliantly for my daughter decided that the floor was much more exciting than running round a ring and unfortunately my rather small then 10 year old had no hope of getting an adult male elkhound to do anything other than sprawl on the floor drooling! She ended up in floods of tears ...I think she would have coped anywhere but crufts...all those people watching and the 'big occasion'...don't dogs just pick their moments!

Oh dear Nicki, I am sorry. Hopefully she's now got over that embarrassment.
