I visited a friend the other day and she told me a story about a pup she sold last year.
Apparently a visitor had placed their riding gloves (with velcro around the wrists) on the garden seat. When she went back to pick them up one had 'disappeared'. The pup had eaten it. A couple of hours later it was acting funny. They rushed it to the vet where they operated on it. The velcro had stuck to the inside of the stomach, causing an obstruction.

It has made a complete recovery. Just a warning to watch what your dogs eat :)
