I have a 12 month old cavalier king charles spaniel and would like another dog.  I would be interested in a weimaraner or a pointer.  I know the ckcs is nothing like these dogs and I was wondering if anybody had an opinion of them together as pets.  Obviously with the weimaraner or pointer needing more walks and runs.  My ckcs get about 30-40 mins of excersise a day.

I used to live with a Cavalier, an English Springer and a Large Munsterlander. They were all walked together, at the same time. The Munster would do 3-4 times the distance of the Springer, who in turn would do 2-3 times the distance of the Cavalier. Only when they started getting older did we have to change the routine. They hated being left behind and were more than happy to 'tag' along and wait for the rest to catch up, whoever it was :D (usually me ;) )

I now only have Munsters, but wouldn't say no to another dog :D

I don't know enough about the two breeds you are asking about, but don't be put off by the different excercise needs.
