I thought ebay was not allowed to offer pets for sale
have you seen this?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1283&item=4329726906&rd=1

Just email them and tell them, they will remove the advert. They are unable to vet every single advert as there are thousands placed every minute :)

I had seen this advert already, but in any case it is not a good idea to post the link anywhere else as you are drawing attention to it.  However, not sure what eBay's stance on this would be given that the people are apparently not offering anything for sale, just wanting suggestions for names, but if you have reported the ad to eBay, then it will be sufficient for them to decide what to do regarding the matter.

I believe they ARE offering them for sale but in a very round about way...read the notes at the bottom, left by other ebayers ;)

Quite clever really.....

They are advertising them for sale without auctioning them. No worse than any other form of advertising but maybe a bit sneaky?

I don't think they are for sale, it says they are looking for help in naming the pups....................not sure if that's just their way round making out they're not advertising.................they say DON'T BID!

Not quite sure what to make of that one....ok have read the replies, have reported it to e-bay
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 12.10.04 16:19 UTC
Yes they do say don't bid...but then give out a price and when they are going PLUS all the colourings etc ;) I think they are being very crafty

Yes you may be right THEY ARE ONLY asking for names but i still feel that offers of over £400 is considered to me they are seeking potential buyers and these pups are for sale

Okay, didn't read that far down in the advert, I stand corrected, sneaky way of doing it though!  If it has been brought to eBay's attention now though, they will remove it once they get round to it.

It's a common way of getting round websites' non-advertising rules. We've seen it done on this site, too.

The listing has ended. This happens alot on Ebay and Ebay usually catch on quick or in other cases members report them so Ebay take it off. Sadly Ebay cannot vet every listing

Crafty gits got plenty of free advertising though didn't they :(

I was looking up GSP info on google, and on ebay there was 1 for sale :-( It's horrible

You should email EBAY straight away and complain as they might not have picked up on it yet
