odd i know for a post like this but we are looking for someone to scan both 6 sheep and one of my friends bitches as she thinks she may be pregers in the north east please

as a rule, they are different types of scanner....but good luck! :)

i cant really help,but on the video "the year of the working sheepdog" the scan man did both1 i think he was really there to scan the sheep,but happily did the bitch too,used the same eqipment

I think you're probably reffering to a scanner they would use on a horse/cow/pony which is an internal scanner.
I would imagine they could use an 'ordinary' scanner for sheep as they would for a dog.
Whereabouts in the North East are you?
You would need a vet, like Blythmans, who have a portable scanner.
Works out expensive though.
If I were you I'd contact a 'local' farmer and ask who they use for scanning sheep etc.
They'd probably give you their scanners phone number.
I know of a lady in the south that had her dogs scanned by the chap that scanned the local
farms sheep etc and he was better at detecting pregnancy and pretty damn accurate at litter
sizes too.

hiya im in ferryhill just outside durham. thanks for all the replys been most helpfull i will go round all the local farms and cheack them out, thanks again

Might be wroth getting Saturdays Northern Echo, and D & S times. both have a good Agricultural section, and a scan person may advertise.
