Hi all, just wondering if anybody has any suggestions to help with my poor 13 year old "Brocki" gsd cross. brock over the past few years has had numerous problems starting with anal ferunculosis which is now gone after a very successfull operation where she had anal glands removed and all ok for 2 years then (recently) fell very ill unable to walk and found out that was spongelitis of the spine (forgive my spelling) for which she is on Metacam and is doing brilliantly and running around as usual like a puppy  (allways has) but unfortunatly of late she is bed wetting and does not seem to be aware but does get distressed about it once she knows what she has done. This dog defies all illness and still thinks she is a pup and all visits to the toilet are as normal . any ideas or things to try would be most appreciated.
thanks Jennyjogs

Hi my eldest dog has been wetting her bed now for just over three weeks she isnt aware that she is doing it our vet prescribed Desmopressin  box actually says DDAVP it is a nasal solution, so far she has only wet a couple of times since started on the medication however the DDAVP was £68 for a 2.5ml bottle but well worth it if it stops her bed wetting

Hi vet bed is like a blanket that you use in either crates or animal beds, its very good as if a dog wets the bedding it goes straight through and absorbs to the underneath part of the bedding so that the dog doesnt lie in any damp patches, hope this is of help
