There is only one size of Pug in the UK I don't think anyone here would want to breed "mini"pugs

Not sure if you want a Pug or an undersize Pug. As far as I know there is no such thing in the UK as a miniature Pug although like all breeds an undersize one will sometimes be born but one should be aware that sometimes along with the lack of size comes lack of health. If you are from the USA it is possible that there may be such a thing as for some reason there seems to be a liking for undersize dogs there but I do not know if they would be recognised by the recognised dog clubs in the states.

EDIT: have checked the AKC lists and they only list the Pug as a toy.

Pugs are already a toy breed, so can't see why anyone would want them even smaller????

Very true Brainless, but think this guest may just have the wrong name, but who knows, unless they join the forum we will be none the wiser.

Just to echo what everyone else has said - Pugs are a toy breed, and dont come in a "miniature" variety.  Breeders occassionally have undersized pups in their litters, but they ususally have considerable health problems (I speak about this from the heart and from experience as my Puglet is a half sized pug who I hand reared, and she has so many health issues!)  Of course, some breeders lines are a little smaller than others, and there is usually a considreable difference between dog and bitch size in the breed.
