I`am in the proccess of buying a pedigree Golden Retriever, i want to take out pet insurance but really do not know which is the best can anyone please HELP?

Hi guest, You will get or should get a change of owner registeration form from the breeders of your new puppy. Fill it in and send it to the kennel club along with a cheque for £10 and you will recieve six weeks free insurance from the kennel club plus you can then carry on this insurance for about £20.00 a month.

I must be the world's biggest researcher on this subject!  I have now gone for Marks & Spencer.  Please read the small print and check the excess arrangements.  My last company changed the arrangement (without telling me, just sneaked it into the renewal) to a percentage of the vets bill instead of a fixed sum (still a minimum payment of course).  Watch out for regularly increased premiums because "costs have gone up" and try and get a lifetime policy instead of just a 12 month per illness kind of thing.  It's a minefield.

PetPlan are very quick with payments - my last claim took 10 days from the day that I gave the form to my vets until I received the cheque (and that included 2 weekends) :)
