I have a 3 year old male Leonberger, He has had a hard Lump on his side for about2 1/2 years. Vet said not to worry about it unless it changes, it has not. Gave him a really good brush today and noticed he has about 8 more!!. they dont hurt him, and they are all about the size of a pea. the seem to run down his body from his neck to his bum. I don't think they have been there long. I will take him to the vets in morning. Any ideas

My advice would be removal and send to the lab for analysis. Fagin had a lump on his nose for about 1 1/2 years, which the vet said not to worry about. He went in for an op on his eye in June, so I asked the vet to remove the lump at the same time, as it worried me. It turned out to be malignant! It was on the lower end of the scale, i.e. not an agressive form of cancer, but cancer is cancer and better removed than left to spread.
Hope everything turns out well.
