Glazby absolutely FREAKED out yesterday evening.  At what??  At a tiny piece of my Twirl wrapper!!

I'd given into temptation and got myself a Twirl and settled down to eat it.  Glaz came over (food about - what dog doesn't!!), went to jump on the sofa next to me and in mid-air spotted this piece of wrapper and almost sumersaulted away from the sofa and then landed growling, hackles up and really upset!!

Even when he'd landed and I tried to call him over to show him it was only a bit of paper he was anchoring his paws in and would only look from a distance and if I moved, he'd freak again!!

It took him about an hour to actually come back over to the sofa again!!

Don't know why he did this - does anyone else's dogs freak out at daft things?

Maddie goes mad at anyone wearing a cap or woolly hat ! She barks at the hoover but she only wants to 'play' with it :D

Ellie is a very sensitive goldie (if there is ever such a thing!) and can be nervous about a few things but her worst is balloons. One day we were walking down the street and there was a car parked in a drive way with a couple of balloons tied onto it. I walked past thinking nothing of it and suddenly ellie ran into the road in blind panic. If she had been off lead, she would have run for the hills. I had no idea that it would bother her before.

Don't talk to Copper about Twirls!!  I used to buy him one after we went to the corner shop (until a good person on here told me they were actually poisonous to dogs - I honestly didn't know that).  He absolutely loved them, so now if he sees a Twirl wrapper he goes completely bananas to get a bit of chocolate (different reason from your dog) - would balance a chair on his nose if he could.  I avoid sparkly purple paper at all costs but always keep a couple of bite size bonios in my pocket, just in case.

Thanks all for your replies!!  :D  Glazby also likes to attack the hoover though we've got a new Dyson now and he's not quite so brave with that!!

I thought it was funny that this is the dog that could shred newspapers for England but he was petrified of a tiny piece of my Twirl wrapper!!!!

He's now being called Glazby the Woose!!!  :D
