is anyone out there any good with ms word??
have just started a college course and have to fill in logs sheets to document my work. i have downloaded these log sheets but am having problems with typing the info i need into them, i think it is due to the way it is formatted (text boxes jumping around onto new pages and leaving big gaps instead of following on in the  normal way) but i cant fix it, can anyone help me??

It depends on how the "boxes" are formatted.

If you click on the back to front "P" looking thing this will bring up all the hidden punctuation marks (such as spaces, carriage returns etc) and you can see what is happening.  It sounds as though your text boxes are in tables and sometimes you need to delete as many spaces as you have typed in letters (does that make sense?)

Its generally on the "standard" toolbar

Does your toolbar have >> with a little downward arrow on it?  If so click on this and it should come up

have found the little back to front thing which shows all the little things, but even when deleting all these out of the boxes (except for a little square thing i cant get rid) off, it still shifts the whole text box onto a new page, rather than creating a continuation box

think i have sussed it now, have removed the page  breaks which were causing one of the problems and am now able to add on new boxes where needed :) hopefully will be ok now!
