Hi Everyone

I recently posted about Junior Handling with a dog on Import Register (Spanish Water Dog), well my daughter Katie aged 8 had her first go today at Windsor Gundog and was 1st in her age group, I was gobsmacked as was she, anyway where do you find all these suits that the handlers wear, Ive looked around near me (Brighton) and cant find anything for an 8 year old, any ideas anyone???.
There must be a second hand market for these too as kids grow so quickly and how often do they wear them before they become too small.

Jenny B (A very proud Mum, proves that Katie does listen sometimes after all).

I used to get suits from BHS I think...when I was tiny...It's much easier now I'm older, I just walk into newlook and come out with a new suit!!!

Some markets will do some, but children just don't wear suits anymore so they are becomming harder to find!  Just be thankful you have a girl showing, boys suits are just near impossible to find!!!!

Well done to your daughter, and for years to come you will be more nervous then she is and more excitted about wins!

So far this year I have been most pleased when a friend of mine who we have trained won her class at an CDS....her first ever show since her training! Second show ever!

Thanks Ice Queen, your'e right about the nerves, I have to hide away as Spanish W.Dogs are a bit of a one person dog and if she sees me she wants to come to me, so I didnt get to see much of it today I was too busy hiding, lol.

Oh my parents will understand compleatly, My first setter was a daddys girl and also loved her grandad, if either of them were in sight I would be out of the ring!!!!  Once I remember being pulled out of the ring and down a sports hall because she heard her daddy!!!  I was still in the younger age group at this point (must have been about 7/8 years ago).

Forgot to mention my nerves when another girl who had been though our ringcraft was at richmond for her first time this year, she got a 3rd and the screams...well I was pleased!  All parents and friends get nervous, and excited etc!  Should see my parents when I go in the ring at crufts.....
