Our bloodhound bitch is due to be mated soon, shes in season now, we always have the trouble of getting the blood off the carpets, does anyone have any magic rememdies to remove it, die or wet..

Always use cold water when removing blood.  Plain water should do it.

5% hydrogen peroxide should be ok on most carpets, salt water is also good at removing blood, again, test on your carpet.

It is easier to remove when wet, dry is a little harder but can be done.

I always put salt on to blood if it is wet. The salt crystals will soak up the blood so you just have to clean up the salt, as long as the dog hasn't eaten it first;) If it's dry the salt water should help and do the same thing.
Edited to add: salt is good for red wine spills too :D
