Please can you help me to find a basset hound puppy. I would like a boy puppy as a pet only. Requiements are that he is healthy do not want to show him. We have been offered one puppy but the price was way out of our reach (£1,200 - £700. This is more than we can afford. I lov e bassets and have had them over the past 30 years.

Any ideas how and where I can get one at a more reasonable price?

She should also be able to advise you on the 'going rate' for a puppy.

Is that what an English Basset costs?......its even more expensive than the rarer French Bassets
