hi,
just a quick question, does anyone know ehy my dogs would ever like eating cow poo, they are run in my familys fields every day and like nothing more that a good dollop of cow dung to eat (disgusting) they have a good diet and wondered if anyone knew if they could be lacking in something, they are fed on burns and eukanuba
thanks
All of my dogs have eaten cow poo, and horses, and sheep, and...........Don't worry, it's a natural thing for them to do - even if it is discusting

Just be glad they don't roll in it - mine do :D

Mine thoroughly enjoy a nice juicy pat, especially when it has a little liquid pool in the top to lap!
jackyat.......do you have to be so explicit? I'm afraid my eighteen month old (dog) has got a taste for it as well!!!! She eats so much that it makes her sick.

Didn't someone say if you fed 'em on Pineapple the dogs would not like the taste? ;)
In my experience Deer is the worst although Rabbit run's it a close second.

I think the pineapple thing is to stop a dog eating its own poo !
There is nothing worse than Cat Poo!!!!
I've often thought of bringing a bucket of sheep poo with me on walk, save time, just make sure you worm regularily. One of mine will roll in it!!! making sure she works it well in and all over!!!!
Don't worry it's the canine equivalent of fast food!!

Just be very careful with cows, horse etc that they haven't been recently wormed, some of the drugs used aren't good for dogs.

...and not just the wormers...there are several treatments given to cattle, sheep etc that could be harmful.
perhaps you should excercise a bit more control on this public footpath until livestock has been moved elsewhere?
