Hi- i've just managed to log in, has been a while since i asked a question and forgot my password! I have a flat coated retriever, she's gorgeous : ) I've just been reading the posts about the flatcoat puppy and I have to say that ours was a little menace, and can still have her cheeky moments now- (but that's part of her brill character!) I think that the idea (Jo) of a character test at 7 weeks is fab and worthwhile. Our first fc was the quiet puppy- not as investigative as the others, and turned out to be so so gentle and sweet. The second was the first born- and the first into everything thereafter! And this one was the skinny one, who had developed her own technique of taking bits of food from the bowl to a quiet corner then running back to steal a bit more, where all the pups were fighting to get their heads in! Can't have been that successful as she was the skinniest- but at least she'd thought about it! :) As a pup at home she was often found up the garden with that baked potato/ bread roll... that i'd just made and left on the unit! Now, at 4 she's still the same- although waits to be given now! Anyway, i did intend to ask a question not ramble on!
My question is , does anyone know of a good website for ordering dogs collars/ leads? I am looking for a nylon type lead in a brown colour and can't find one anywhere- i've even tried on ebay- they sell dog necklaces ( !!!! ) but can't see what i'm looking for. I've tried a few other pet websites found via google, but was wondering if there's a good one someoone could recommend for me to try.
Thanks x

Hello there,
I have a flatcoat too, a total nutcase and he's 4! Couldn't find a happier or more friendly dog though wouldn't change him for the world.
Try
www.thedogweb.co.uk
a few interesting collars & leads here and if you email them what you need they can usually help.
Best wishes.
Hi,
Ive recently returned myself after having some log-in problems.
I dont want to sound as though im advertising (ive been a member on this website for a number of years) but i own an online pet retail shop www.pettreatz.co.uk we have a nylon range 'milano' which is quite nice. It doesnt come in brown but it may be worth a look.
Hope that helps.
