Well I got home tonight and arrived to be told by Mike my husband that he had signed the nursery's accident book. I asked on no not again, ( She is a bit accident prone, what 14 month old just walking doesn't :) ) what for this time ? He said have a look at her arm and there was a mouth shaped mark ( Only gappy tooth marks :) )She had got into a bit of a disagreement over a toy and the little monster she was tussling with bit her !

I am not angry as children will be children but poor Michelle who does a stirling job in Indigo's babies room had the look of 'It has been a very bad day !'

Michelle is wonderful and I think is one of the best childcarers (childminders and nursery carers) I have ever come across and was wondering if there is such a thing as an award type thing like 'childcare worker of the year' that anybody knows of so I could nominate her ? She really deserves it as she takes wondeful care of all the little cherubs that go there and I feel so confident Indigo is getting the best possible care whilst I am at work :)

Lucy, I know there are awards once a year for nursery workers.
As my nursery has the posters put up whenever it is on. I just havnt got around to enterying anyone.
The nursery my kids go to is absolutly fantastic, and unfortuantly, my son was the one doing the biting for a while, but with their help, we have sorted it out :D :D
The only thing I can do is remember to let you know when the posters gpo up again, or ask the nursery staff if you want me too????

(deffinatly not going to say you are a bad mother for putting them in nursery as mine are in 3 days a week since my youngest was 7 months, and its the best thing I have ever done :D :D :D :D :D)

Can you do it Lea if it is ok as I don't want them to know as i would like to keep it secret as it will be so much of a surprise if she got it !  She is so cool and is a lovely girl , well woman as she is 24 ! :D When you go to pick Indi up, times vary so they don't do a 'lets play up for the parents' , she is often seen sitting on the floor having big cuddles with lots of laughter! I think if I can remember Indi has only ever been crying once when I have picked her up ! She loves it there ! :D She deserves a medal for what she does ! I couldn't do her job for all the tea in China ! :D

Sounds like the nursery my kids go to. They are in kids club now. But Jo, the room manager is fantastic. I had a problem with Sam settling into school, and he was doing naughty things at home. Spoke to Jo about it, and she spoke to Sam.  This was on the friday, and she said if he was good all weekend, she would buy him something. Well he was, and she bought him some buttons!!!!!!!!
I dont know what I would do without them, as they are absolutly excellant.
(oh and Shirley who used to look after Sam when he was in the baby room still pops her head out and talks to Sam 5 years on!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I can sympathise as my daughter was always biting my son - whole sets of teeth marks on his legs and arms. If I was holding her and talking to someone, she would sink her teeth into my neck to get my attention :D :D

It seems to be a phase that some babies go through - one of ours would "two tooth test" everything and everyone - bite marks up and down arms & legs!!!
