hi do any owners/breeders on here used chudley working crunch and how do you rate it?
- By Dawn B [in] Date 29.09.04 16:25 UTC
Most of Chudleys food is cereal based, so I don't rate it at all!  Its quite cheap and many people do use it and are happy with it, I did try the Chudleys Ferret food, but my Ferrets were not impressed!

I've used it and all of my dogs but one did well on it.

We won a year's supply of it, and the dogs were fine on it.    They do a Salmon and something-or-other now, which I'm using for my oldies, and they seem to love it.

Tend to use something - 'more refined' on the dogs who are working hard, but don't know if it's really any better..........

Going by the amount of Chudleys we sell, it is a very popular food.  They do foods for every age of dog, working or pet.   Incidentally D&H have bought Autarky!

Popular maybe, but it is on the cheap side, so it will appeal to those who do not want to spend loads.  The only gripe I have with it, is its predominantly fillers and cereal.

I'd rather a dog on Chudley's than Dr.John anyday,,,the dog would be better off eating the bag!  ;)

I noticed in the pet shop that quite a lot of the Chudleys formulae include syrup........................  does this one?

Tohme.
I find most of the Chudleys range to be "sticky" to the touch, so they probably all contain syrup of some description.

Some friends of mine use Chudleys on their dozen or so working gundogs. I'm not sure which variety they use but all of the dogs are in excellent 'hard' condition.

I did once have a lab in for training that had been fed on Chudleys; it didnt agree with her & she did a lot better on Masters.

Hi

I tried the working crunch for my Goldies but some of them it gave them perament
dirrohoea and they all poo for Britain on the stuff there was always dog mess around each dog was pooing 3-4 times a day :-O

Put them straight back on to JWB less poo each dog only one dog poo :-)They remain in fabulous hard fit working condition with lovely white teeth and coats to die for.

However I know some friends that feed the working crunch dogs look nice on it dont seem to have a problem obviously didn't suit my lot :-)

Briony :-)

They poo all the time because its full of cereal!  Sounds like you had a typical reaction Briony, good to hear they are thriving again.
