Now it's getting to be dark nights. How do you make sure you are seen on walks?

Flashing collars for our dogs, but we tend not to walk in unlit areas after dark.

Only usually walk in field next door at night, so need to be seen :) Older dog has flashing collar so that we know where he is if he chases the foxes :)

Uh oh Daisy - you'll need to keep him on a lead if this ban comes in

LOL - I'll have to keep the dogs on chains in the garden then as well - can't have the fox disturbed when he comes in the garden can we :D :D

Indeed - we'll be made to leave the lids off wheelie bins next to ensure they get a good meal. Bless. :D

Mel, I feel you are not taking this seriously! I meant to ask..how will Hudson cope when you are forced to join the "adopt-a-fox" scheme? I've volunteered to take 2 :D :D

Only two - our local vixen had at least four this spring :( As my neighbour probably puts Viagra out with the food and the vitamin supplements, there will probably be more next year :D :D :D At least I can do my share of the compulsory fox-minding sitting in bed, looking out of the window :D :D

Daisy - you will have to start feeding the foxes!!!! A friend of mine goes out to Greece every winter, and was always distressed at the no of cats & kittens in the village where she has a house ...... somehow she manages to get the contraceptive pill (don't ask me how - she is nearly 68!!!) and feeds them to the female cats (ground up, apparently into the food) ever day from the end of December until she leaves at the end of April. She has been doing this for the last five years - and she says that the no of litters that the females have been having has decreased by almost 50%. (The Greeks do not like her taking them to be spayed, apparently).
So maybe we all ought to be putting our urban foxes on the pill - or do you think we would be infringing their personal libert? :D

yep, Willis just loves lunch on the run LOL
We have a reflective collar and lead set for walking at night. They dont go off the lead in the dark but we do have to cross a road to get to the field so its better to be safe.

I've always thought.. isn't it better to not be seen in the dark? If you're walking around with flashing lights you're attracting all the attention to yourself for rapers/ murderers etc..

True, but where as Fagan has a flashing lights collar I have a big maglite torch to bash potential rapists over the head with ;)
