Hi there i am looking for a Stud dog for my Cavy bitch. She is 22mths old and is Black and Tan. She is of a loving temperment and very good with other dogs and children. She is KC Reg. I live in south yorkshire so if anyone can help me please E-Mail me at oconnors74@msn.com   Thankyou very much. Oh yes she is due in season sometime in October.... Cheers.

Please do not breed from your bitch until she is at least 2 1/2, please visit this site & look at the breed info pages on MVD, eye & most important Syringomyelia. SM is a very painful disorder that can manifest itself before  the dog is 2 1/2. It can result in the dog being PTS

If you do not have the health tests done on your bitch & any of the puppies develop SM, MVD or eye problems you will be legally liable for neligence plus you will be responsible for producing puppies with these disorders which I am sure you will not wish to do

There are breeders who are still breeding from dogs & bitches that are way to young-met one on sunday who was bragging that her 14 month old dog had just mated his first bitch-no heart or eye tests & the owner had never heard of Syringomyelia-totally & utterly irresponsible

If you want to message me I can give you more information.

I have a lovely young dog, with a champion father, who has been placed at Championship shows who is a carrier of SM(his father was pts because of the pain he was in)my boy is not 2 1/2 & could still develop SM. I am vary worried as I adore my dogs & could not bear to see him in pain & to lose him to young

I wouldn't wish SM on any dog & try to prevent people from spreading SM even further in the breed
