Guest, do a search for cockapoos on here and you will see what the score is with them.
You are better off saving your money and going to a recue centre, as cockapoos are cross breds. Ie mongrals. Mongrals are not worth loads of money as they have not had the relevant health tests you get with reputable pure bred dogs.

Because they are a crossbreed, no two will look alike. If you manage to find one there is no guarantee it will look like the picture you saw - it could look like a cocker spaniel or a poodle. Why not go for one of those - much easier to obtain and more likely to have been health checked.

I can't understand this new trend to want to get what is no more than a X breed - very strange to me.

The guest should also bear in mind that the bulk of the Cockapoos featured on web sites and in the media are acutally American (big business out there) and are acutally AMERICAN cocker crossed with poodle. The potential for an English Cocker/Poodle cross to look very different from the one she has seen is great!  That is leaving aside the fact that the porbablility is that no two from any litter need look like each other anyway!

Seen picture+Liked the way it looked = want one! Is this really the way to find your companion for the next 12 plus (hopefully) years?
