a couple of weeks ago i bought some quail to go in the  goat pen, when they were 'released' into the pen that i thought was quail proof they found every way out possible and as a result on sunday i spent most of the day quail hunting, so it was decided that they would go to work and go in with the chickens, the chickens had dug a hole big enough for the quail to get out so we put them in one of the empty stables, yesturday morning i went into work to be greeted by Bo the labrador, she then run off and presented me with a half eaten quail , at first i though she had managed to get the birds of prey food, but then realised that it was still alive so this poor bird thought that it had made a bid for freedom only to be caught by Bo who must have seen my post on the feeding board about quails
