i was loking around our local Jolleys and saw a food called Chudleys. It seens very reasonably priced, the kibble looked of decent quality, not too gritty and smalled lovely (i know the food is for the dogs not me but i go by small a lot lol)
I was wondering of any of you here feed Chudleys and what you think of it. Im not prepared to BARF feed so am looking for a reasonably priced food for my dogs.
Any help appreciated
Thanks,
Jolene

Many people recommend Burns complete but for value for money good quality you can't go wrong with Autarky.IMO. You can buy it in tescos...its 100% with added herbs. My dogs did exceptionally well on it.Tescos only sell small bags but you can buy 15Kg sacks for around £12.

Two contrasting experiences of Chudleys...

Positive.....
Some friends of mine feed all their dogs Chudleys (about 12 of them - labs, springers and a teckel). All their dogs are in excellent condition (although leaner than the average pet dog!) They never seem to have health problems or any other issues and are fit, active working dogs. They also supply food to other people i know who also have fit healthy working dogs.

Negative....
A labrador came to me for training that was always fed on Chudleys. She was underweight (and I like my labs to be lean!) and her waste was a foul colour and consistency. (She had been regularly wormed). I changed her over to the brand that I use - Masters (similar price, but not as easy to obtain) and she improved considerably.

I've heard good reports on Chudleys but have never used it. Like Havoc I prefer Masters although as a second choice I would myself use Skinners. Having won a sack and being a cheapskate and not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth I tried it out and my dogs loved it.

Saying that, I still prefer Masters, using the maintenance grade "Meaty Crunch" during the summer months and their "performance" grade during the working season.

I've had positive results with it.  I fed my lot on the working crunch and they loved it.  They all did really well on it, especially when they were working.

I feed mine on Chudleys - it was recommended by the breeder. I've (or rather my bitch has) tried the puppy food which is great when they're small, then the junior and a whole range of different adult foods. My bitch is a fussy eater but has really settled down on their museli mix (I tried other brands in desperation but nothing worked). We've just had out first litter and I've talked to Chudleys and just ordered some weaning mash so I'll reserve judgement on that.
But Lab breeders (show and working) that I know use Chudleys and Chudley's milk and have no complaints.
