Does anyone know where to get a leather collar from probably an in inch wide to fit a 2 year old Dogue de Bordeaux.  My friend is looking and has tried all the pet shops in this area, I have passed on where I can think of but any help would be appreciated.

Try an agricultural type shop if possible. I got a calf collar for my bullmastiff and cut it down to size (length wise). It is perfect.

Not sure, but I think accolade will make a collar to size for you.  Ring them and ask.

Try your local saddler. In the end I've found this the cheapest way and you get exactly the size and design you want.

For something 'special'  Ariat do really lovely ones, also the Nupro or Nutro(not sure which)  chap that has a stand at champ shows had a really good strong all leather collar that also doubled as a slip/check, it was £20.
